چکیده

Volume 29 • Number 1 • January/February 2009 • 1 Aesthetic Surgery Journal It gives me great pleasure to announce that The Rhinoplasty Society has adopted Aesthetic Surgery Journal as its official journal. The Rhinoplasty Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of rhinoplastic surgery. The Society consists of surgeons throughout the world who specialize in rhinoplasty and are Active Members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, or equivalent foreign national societies. An official Auditor representing the Rhinoplasty Society holds a nonvoting seat on the Board of Directors of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. The Rhinoplasty Society was formed to provide an educational forum for plastic surgeons and facial plastic surgeons deeply committed to aesthetic and reconstructive nasal surgery. Originally conceived as a study group, the Society met with such enthusiastic support that it proceeded to develop a more formal structure and to incorporate. It held its first formal meeting, preceding the Annual Meeting of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, in 1997. The distinguished rhinoplastic surgeon Jack H. Sheen, MD was the first President. The Society’s By-Laws were structured so that all qualified surgeons who have a significant interest in rhinoplastic surgery would have representation on the Board of Directors. Members of The Rhinoplasty Society share the goal of exchanging and developing new ideas in a common forum of mutual respect and collegiality. We look forward to showcasing the work of Rhinoplasty Society members in the pages of ASJ. ◗ ASJ Welcomes Our Newest Partner: The Rhinoplasty Society
